Anubias barteri var. 'nana' is a smaller variety and the most well known of all Anubias varieties. It is a short, bushy variety, which is very tolerant of almost any condition. Commonly called Anubias nana,, it readily attaches to driftwood or rocks. In fact, the rhizome of Anubias nana will creep along almost any structure. There are several forms of Anubias nana being sold in the trade all with slightly different characteristics. Anubias nana is one of the most popular aquarium plants in the aquatic plant trade. This plant can be used in terrariums, aquariums and even will tolerate the harsh condiditons of Cichlid tanks.
