Description:

Hygrophila polysperma 'Tropic Sunset' was discovered and propagated by Florida Aquatic Nurseries from a 1 stem in a production tank of Hygrophila polysperma.  Florida Aquatic Nurseries was issued a patent on this plant in 1985 and Hygrophila polysperma 'Tropic Sunset' became one of the most popular stem aquarium plants in the industry.  Hygrophila polysperma 'Tropic Sunset' is sold in Europe under the name of Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig'.  There is no doubt why Hygrophila polysperma 'Tropic Sunset' became so popular world wide with its exceptional coloration. Unfortunately, Tropic Sunset Hygro falls under the federal ban of Hygrophila polysperma and is not allowed to be kept or grown in the United States.
